Background
My name is Alice and I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. My family moved to Kentucky for a short stay before settling in San Antonio, Texas. I spent most of my life in San Antonio where I began my college career at the University of Texas, San Antonio. After relocating to Huntsville in 2005, I enrolled at the University of Alabama in Huntsville to finish my Education degree. I received my B.A. in Elementary Education/Collaborative in December 2009 and begin my journey as an education professional. I currently live in southeast Huntsville, near the Owens Cross Roads area and am fortunate enough to be surrounded by many family and friends. My husband and I love this part of the state and intend to be long-time residents of Madison County.
Reasons For This Portfolio
I originally began work on this electronic portfolio to satisfy a graduation requirement, but have enjoyed putting this site together and learning HTML, CSS and related web technologies. I have been constantly amazed at the ease of use of today's web-authoring software tools that allow a non-techie type like myself to present this portfolio to the world. This experience has certainly helped me lose my fear of unknown technologies and sharpen my technical skills! I am looking forward to updating and maintaining this site throughout my professional career.
